Nikoleta Velcheva was born on July 9, 1998, in Varna.
As a child, Nikoleta was involved in various sports: artistic gymnastics, swimming, diving, folk dances, hip-hop, salsa, and others. During her high school years, she attended two acting schools - "Theater Studio” with Stoyan Radev and Veselina Mihalkova, and the theatrical school of Nikola Kenarov. In 2016, she played the role of Rosaline in "Romeo and Juliet," a performance by "Theater Studio”.
The following year, she participated in "Shakespeare in Love", a performance by the Stoyan Buchvarov Drama Theater, directed by Prof. Plamen Markov.
In 2017, Nikoleta decided to apply for acting at the National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts (NATFA) and was accepted into the class of Prof. Plamen Markov. During her training at the academy, she took on roles like Lyubov Andreevna in "The Cherry Orchard," Teresa in "The Memory of Water”, and Anna Petrovna in "Platonov." Her first diploma performance was "Nechistata" directed by Kalin Angelov, where Nikoleta played the ominous role of the old witch.
Another diploma performance she took part in was "We Are Dolls," directed by Elitsa Yovcheva, where she portrayed a powerful and capricious queen.
After graduating in 2021, Nikoleta enrolled in a master's program in "Stage Arts. Management and Production."
In 2022, she participated in the musical "Grease" at the Varna Opera, embodying the fun and greedy character of Jan.
Currently, Nikoleta is a member of the troupe at the Drama and Puppet Theater "Vasil Drumev" in Shumen.
