Kolyo Staykov was born on March 27, 1962, in the city of Sliven. From 2008 to 2012, he worked at Montfiz, where he staged "The Kingdom of Women", "Graffiti" "Golemanov", "The Light Princess", and "Mrasnitza". He has also worked at DKT "Vasil Drumev" in Shumen and DT "Geo Milev" in Stara Zagora. He has portrayed numerous roles in puppet and dramatic performances, some of which include:
