Michaela Goncheva graduated from the French Language High School "Antoine de Saint-Exupéry" in 2020, majoring in English and French. In 2024, she completed her studies in "Acting for Dramatic Theatre" at NATFA "Krastyo Sarafov" under the class of Prof. Penko Gospodinov.
Michaela possesses a wide range of skills, including singing, dancing, dubbing, swimming, cycling, and beginner-level abilities in archery, piano, and fencing.
Michaela has significant experience in theatre. Her performances include roles in productions such as "Metamorphoses" by Ovid, directed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lora Mutisheva, and "Gorky's House" by Maxim Gorky, directed by Prof. Penko Gospodinov. She also took part in the original play "Theatre PO", as well as in "I've Given Up Before I Was Born" by Samuel Beckett, both directed by Prof. Penko Gospodinov.
Her graduation performances include the role of Kate and a singer in "Duck Duck Goose" by Katrina Daly, directed by Zafir Radjab, and the role of Kristina in the musical "Casting", staged by Boris Lapshov and directed by Prof. Penko Gospodinov. Michaela also performed as a Samodiva in "The Canterbury Tales", based on texts by Geoffrey Chaucer, Guillaume de Lorris, and Jean de Meun, directed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Miroslava Gogovska. Other notable roles include a soldier in the chorus of "The Beggar, or the Dead Dog" by Bertolt Brecht, directed by Rafael Bizhev.
Michaela also has on-screen experience. She portrayed Iris Murdoch in the documentary "Major Thompson – The (Un)necessary Hero". Among her other on-screen appearances are scenes from "Blue Is the Warmest Color", directed by Martin Kiselov, and "Pretty Woman", directed by Emanuil Tsonev, both part of student projects at NATFA. She also participated in the commercial project "#ChangeThePicture" and the student film "Brainsider", directed by Martin Genovski.
