Illya Videlinov is an actor, director, and cultural manager born in Plovdiv in 1990. He graduated from NATFA with a degree in Acting and holds a Master’s degree in Arts Management. His professional path combines stage artistry with cultural leadership and project development.
Since 2022, he has served as Director of the Drama and Puppet Theatre “Vasil Drumev” – Shumen, where he works to expand the theatre’s repertoire, develop festival initiatives, and attract new audiences. Prior to this role, he was part of the team at Theatre “Sofia” and contributed to the organization of major cultural events such as ARTE Festival, SPICE Music Festival, and “Summer Cinema in the Park.”
Illya Videlinov is the creator of several cultural formats, including the Todor Kolev Comedy Theatre Festival, the “Bez Obektiv” Film Festival, the traveling project “Kvartalna Stsena,” and the children’s platform “Moliv Zad Uhoto.” As a director and playwright, he explores contemporary theatrical language and new forms of audience engagement.
His work is guided by long-term cultural vision, accessibility of the arts, and the development of emerging artists and audiences.
